Förder-Forum Alte Synagoge Heppenheim:
“Preserve to learn” is the motto of the Friends of the Old Synagogue Cultural Monument in Heppenheim. When we were founded in 2019, we set ourselves the goal of preserving and renovating the Old Synagogue building at Kleine Bach 3 and giving it a new purpose.
In the meantime, there have been numerous campaigns and events to raise awareness of our project and recruit supporters.
For the first time, we are using September 7, 2025 — European Day of Jewish Culture —a day of action that has been celebrated in nearly 30 countries on the first Sunday in September for several years now.
It serves to introduce European Judaism, its history, traditions, and customs, and facilitates dialogue with other cultures and faiths. The Old Synagogue in Heppenheim, with its prayer hall, will provide a venue for this in the future.
We cordially invite you to celebrate the launch with us. In addition to a highly topical contribution by Uwe Becker, the varied program of events offers opportunities for exchange and getting to know each other.
